Hunger doesn’t take a Summer Vacation!

Child Nutrition Program – 2024 FREE Summer Meals

Nutritious Summer Meals for Children and Teens Ages 1-18 Years

Beginning Monday, June 3rd, ALL children can enjoy FREE breakfast and lunch to accompany days of summer fun and educational activities through Provo City School District’s Summer Child Nutrition Program!   Assuring that all children have access to wholesome food during the summer when schools are not in session, the Summer Meals Program helps youths continue to learn and grow. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the federally funded nutrition program is open to all children aged 1-18 years. No application is necessary to drop in for a meal and all children and teens are welcome! Children do not need to be a part of Provo City School District. The Provo Board of Education, Superintendent Dau, and the Child Nutrition Program are committed to ensuring our children have access to safe and nutritious meals during the summer months when they can’t eat at school. Serving as a key building block of our community, the Summer Meals Program helps kids return to school healthy, happy and ready to learn!

The Summer Meals Program is available to all children and teens 1-18 years old. Children must eat their meal in the school cafeteria. Parents/Adults may purchase a breakfast for $2.00 and/or a lunch for $4.00 and enjoy a meal with their child(ren). Please be aware that the menu may change due to product availability.

Administered by USBE Child Nutrition Programs, the Summer Meals Program is located at approved sites that are in low-income areas, or serve a group of children most of whom are low income. These meals must meet the same nutritional standards as the other Child Nutrition Programs.
