We have had a wonderful September! Looking back at what has happened makes me smile. We had an incredible PTA meeting where Mayor Kaufusi joined many parents in talking about ways to include more parents in the decisions about our school.
We had a great School Community Council Meeting where we looked at our school’s academic data. We talked about ways to help individual groups of students succeed in school. We are excited to continue these discussions.
We had our first infant/parent music class and our first preschool story time. All of these have been a huge success.
In September, I spent a lot of time in the lunch room and would love to ask for your help. Many of our students are not eating their lunches. I have encouraged them to take “one more bite” of the fruit, vegetable or meat. Would you talk to your children about the importance of eating a variety of foods and eating their lunch to provide nutrition for their bodies? We have done this at school, but hearing it from their parents will help reinforce this important concept.
The best part of my month were the visits I made to classrooms where I was able to see your children learning. Our teachers are the best in all of Utah! Your children are so curious and excited to learn. Thank you for helping them be curious.
Throughout the year, students will continue to focus on being kind and trying their best to learn and grow! Have a fantastic October!
