We hope that you enjoyed Spring Break and had some time to spend with your family. It is unbelievable to think that we only have 7 weeks left until summer vacation. Teachers are working hard to end the year with success for each student. It is so incredible to look back over the year and see how much each child has progressed. In order to show how much your child(ren) has grown there will be end of the year tests in Reading, Math and Science. In 3rd-6th grade this testing will start the week of April 22nd. Please make sure that your child(ren) gets to bed early and eats a good breakfast. Here are some activities that are coming up here at the end of the year:

  • April 25 – 5th and 6th grade music performance
  • April 30 – 3rd and 4th grade music performance
  • May 3 – PTA Carnival 5-7 pm
  • May 9 – 1st and 2nd grade music performance
  • May 13-17 – No Kindergarten students/Kindergarten testing
  • May 16 – Parent Night featuring outdoor activities and prizes
  • May 21 – 6th grade graduation, 1 pm
  • May 22-24 – Early Out at 1:30 pm

Please Note: The pedestrian tunnel located just south of 500 North 500 West will be removed the weekend of May 3. US-89 will be closed from 400-500 North at approximately 4 p.m. on Friday, May 3 and will reopen by 6 a.m. Monday, May 6. Crossing guards will remain at 500 North to assist students and crosswalks will remain in place at US-89 and 500 North. Motorists and pedestrians should find alternate routes of travel.

The 500 West project will fully reconstruct the roadway between 800 North to 300 South adding active transportation features including bike lanes, widened sidewalks and a 10-foot multi-use path; upgrade sewer, storm drain, and other utilities, and improve safety with upgrades to crosswalks and pedestrian/bicycle friendly intersections.
